CiiTA Managing Partner Jason Hardaway to Speak at CBI’s GPO, 340B and Class of Trade Conference in Philadelphia

PORTLAND, Ore. – March 10, 2016 — CiiTA founder and managing partner Jason Hardaway has been invited to speak at the upcoming CBI GPO Membership, 340B and Class of Trade Management conference on March 23 & 24 in Philadelphia. This conference is Bio/Pharma’s premier event on roster management, class of trade verification and revenue leakage prevention.

Mr. Hardaway’s is a recognized expert on the federal 340B Program and a frequent presenter or panel member at 340B industry events. His presentation at the CBI conference later this month will address the scope of drug manufacturer responsibility with respect to 340B Program oversight and dispute resolution.

“Regulatory oversight of 340B is inconsistent and revenue leakage from poorly administered 340B programs is a growing problem for our clients,” says Hardaway. “Our experience with program compliance issues clearly shows that drug manufacturers are the only effective enforcement mechanism.”

For example, HRSA has audited more than 300 covered entities since 2012 and 25% were found to have duplicate discount or other administration errors. However, program regulators have not established an accepted mechanism for preventing these errors.  Further, program regulation is so complex that covered entities often do not know when they are out of compliance. Hence the need for manufacturers to monitor their 340B expenditures and mitigate their exposure to program abuse.
